Teaching Experience:
Mr.
Wiles is the principal of
Lone
Star
Middle School in
Nampa,
Idaho, which opened its
doors in August 2008. This is his twenty-first year in public
education, all of which have been in the middle school arena and the
past twelve of those he has served in school administration. He used
his bachelor’s degree from
Evangel
University (Springfield
Missouri) to teach Health and P.E.,
while simultaneously pursuing his Master’s Degree in Educational
Administration from
Idaho
State
University. He
completed his Educational Specialist Degree from
Northwest
Nazarene
University in
May of 2011. He is
currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Education form NNU as well.
Professional
Experience:
As a board member for the Idaho Middle Level Association (IMLA) and
past president (2005-07), he seeks to equip, unite, and inspire
middle level educators across his state. He received the Idaho
Middle Level Educator of the Year award for Region 5 in 2000, Idaho
Middle Level Educator of the year in 2009-2010, recognized as NAESP
Transformational Leader in 2010, and the Idaho Association of
Secondary School Principals outstanding Secondary Principal (Middle
Level) in 2010-2011.
Personal:
Greg and his wife Desiree have been married for 15 years and have 4
children.
